As the final stop of fashion month, Paris Fashion Week has introduced a slew of exciting new shoes on its runways, from Saint Laurent‘s already-viral snake heels to Rick Owens’ over-the-top designs.
Creative director Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent’s freelance design director of shoes Corrado de Biase extended the collection’s gold theme to the footwear lineup with reptilian styles, statement jewels and gilded metallic chains. The collection also included satin slingback pumps with gold cap-toes.
Dries Van Noten kept things interesting with an array of styles, including multicolored crystal-embellished pumps, metallic sandals and an overall vibrant use of color.

Meanwhile, a strappy sandal was draped with jewelry, emphasizing the feminine whimsy of the design. The collection also played with cap-toes, including pumps with a snakeskin toe. Rick Owens reliably presented high-drama footwear including otherworldly jewel-adorned platform boots featuring cage-like straps snaking around the leg and a prominent sharp toe. A similar aesthetic was applied to a wedge mule sandal.
The Courrèges collection included bow-adorned calf-height boots in various colors, satin thong mule heels, shoes with a silver spherical adornment, and a statement hybrid style landing somewhere between a ballet flat and a gladiator sandal, adorned with 3D florals.
