Pharrell Williams will be honored Wednesday with the FNAA 2025 Shoe of the Year award for his Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish collaboration. Just in time for the event, the project’s signature “imported from Virginia” trucks have descended upon New York City for an exclusive early release of the award-winning sneaker’s new Triple Black colorway.
Adidas announced Wednesday that the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Triple Black will be released in limited quantities in NYC this week. The latest version of the Shoe of the Year-winning sneaker is colored fully in a New York-appropriate all-black design while retaining the reflective shoelaces details found on previously released styles. According to a press release, the colorway’s jutting TPU overlays feature a glow-in-the-dark treatment, a detail which has thus far only been seen on the sneaker’s green iteration.

“‘Go bigger’ was a mindset,” Williams told FN about the collaboration’s creation. “If we’re going to do it, let’s really do it. So we stretched materials, stretched forms. We let the sole become sculpture, let the upper become architecture, let the idea of ‘running’ expand into ‘moving through life.’ Bigger just meant elevating everything.”
Ahead of a wider global release in 2026, the Triple Black Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish will be made available this week through two methods. The first of which is an in-store raffle taking place at Adidas’ 5th Avenue flagship store with sign ups open until Thursday at 10 a.m. ET. Winners will be contacted by phone Thursday and are able to collect the shoes Friday.
A second launch will take place from the SoHo location of Williams’ Billionaire Boys Club brand. Described as an “exclusive access point” release, the first-come, first-served drop is set for Thursday at 10 a.m. ET.
Retail pricing for the Triple Black style is set at $300. With a full colorway of Core Black/Core Black/Core Black, the style code for the NYC-exclusive pair is KJ3841.
