Queen Letizia opted for a monochrome neutral look to receive audiences in Madrid on Tuesday, pairing summery espadrille wedge heels with a midi dress from Mango.
With a modest silhouette and inconspicuous wedge heel, the espadrilles complemented her stately aesthetic while remaining suitable for summer weather. The shoes featured a low-cut D’Orsay upper that exposed the top and sides of the foot; a small cap toe design in front emphasized the shoe’s low-key look. A hint of glamour was added to the set by way of a light gold metallic ankle strap, and a small opening at the heel enclosure allowed the shoes to breathe even more.
Queen Letizia just recently wore beige espadrilles in a very similar silhouette with a colorful floral dress in May, though the two sets showcase slight differences. Suffice to say, she’s a fan of the light woven style, which becomes more prevalent in the warmer months.

The shoes complemented a bespoke dress by Mango, which showcased a neutral pale beige hue and a simple asymmetric silhouette. The midi-length garment was fitted with slight ruching at the bodice and a single sleeve across the left side, creating a diagonal neckline.
In addition to espadrilles, the Spanish royal family member’s July footwear looks have included tan slingback kitten heels from Magrit, a brand crafting shoes in Spain, which she paired with a pink linen Hugo Boss suit.
