Queen Letizia has been putting one of her go-to pairs of Magrit kitten heels to work over the past few months, including on Tuesday, when she hosted a FUDEN audience in Madrid.

The Spanish royal hosted an audience with representatives from the Foundation for the Development of Nursing (FUDEN) at La Zarzuela Palace, wearing Magrit buckle low-heel pumps and a tweed midi dress — both repeat pieces in her working wardrobe.

Queen Letizia wore a custom pair of black leather Magrit low-heel pumps. The kitten heel style featured a leather-covered buckle on top of the vamp, while a small, flared heel kept the silhouette wearable for a day on her feet.

The Spanish royal paired the pumps with another rewear, a tweed midi dress featuring a close, tailored bodice and a gently flared hem. The fabric blended black, white and muted pastel threads, creating a dense, textured surface. The piece’s long sleeves featured lightly fringed cuffs, while a narrow waistband defined the silhouette. She previously wore the same dress in April 2024 to a literature awards ceremony.

Magrit has stayed in heavy rotation for the queen. The Spanish label, founded in 1929 in Elda, keeps showing up in her working lineup — from the baby pink Carlota slingbacks she wore to the Spanish Parliament in November 2025 to the black suede boots she pulled out for FundéuRAE’s anniversary in December. The same buckle-front kitten heels have also traveled with her, turning up again during the November state visit to China, the Victoria Eugenia exhibition and APRAMP event in early December, and the funeral service for Princess Irene of Greece in January.

Buckle details on shoes are something of a staple when it comes to royal footwear. Queen Camilla wears various buckle pumps from designers like Eliot Zed and Roger Vivier. Kate Middleton has also embraced the subtle shoe detail, like when she wore her Pretty Ballerina suede flats while out with Prince William last September.
