Queen Maxima of the Netherlands favored a dress from her go-to designer, Natan, during a royal engagement with her husband King Willem-Alexander on Tuesday. The couple visited the beach of Domburg and historical center of Veere during their day of commitments.

Queen Maxima’s midi dress featured an asymmetric neckline with gathered fabric and short sleeves. The design of the dress, courtesy of the Belgian fashion label, included sheer detailing and intricate embroidery with botanical inspiration and netted design.

Queen Maxima coordinated her dress with her fascinator, designed by Maison Fabienne Delvigne of Belgium. When it came to the rest of her look, she favored neutrals in order to keep her dress and fascinator the centerpieces of her attire.

The royal wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi pointed-toe heels in a neutral shade of nude. She coordinated her shoes with her bag, designed by Sophie Habsburg.

Whimsy is a signature quality of Queen Maxima’s royal wardrobe, and has been for several years. While the royal is accustomed to the occasional power suit moment, she often opts for looks that incorporate fantastical florals and vibrant colors.

More recently, Queen Maxima demonstrated her whimsical wardrobe’s versatility when she added a tropical edge to her ensemble for the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday. The royal wore shades of green, including a blouse with three-quarter-length sleeves, which she paired with flowing trousers that featured a pattern of tropical palm leaves and branches.
