Rebecca Ferguson made bold entrances at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday wearing not one, but two pairs of sky-high platforms.
The actress, who stars in Kathryn Bigelow’s film “A House of Dynamite” alongside Idris Elba and Tracy Letts, opted for a Thom Browne look for a photo call ahead of the premiere. The laidback black-on-black suit was a quiet statement of luxury, though some elements gave away the designer behind the ensemble — a red, white and blue suspender draped below the waist, and a pair of black and white brogue heels with eye-catching striping on the platform of one shoe, creating an asymmetrical look.
As part of an otherwise subdued outfit, the shoes took center stage, boasting a towering sculpted heel and a rounded, chunky platform. One of the brand’s brogue styles, the shoe features decorative perforations along the upper. The silhouette was featured as part of Thom Browne‘s fall 2025 collection.

Following the photo call, Ferguson wasn’t done with daring looks. She was photographed on the red carpet later wearing black leather zip-up ankle boots which also boasted a hefty platform and heel. The edges got sharper with this set, showing off a square toe and a block heel which widened from top to bottom. The shoes accompanied a sweeping black asymmetrical dress, carrying forward the color scheme she established earlier in the day.
From towering shoes like Ferguson’s to slim woven Bottega Veneta loafers worn by Jacob Elordi, this year’s iteration of the Venice Film Festival has seen a range of footwear thus far. Find more looks below.
