Hines+Young, the beauty and self care brand created by Cheryl Hines and her daughter, Catherine Young, is ceasing operations. The news follows Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s appointment as the head of the Department of Health and Human Services on Feb. 13.
Married to Hines, RFK had assured his wife would stop selling beauty products once he had joined the department. “My spouse has agreed that Hines & Young LLC will stop sales of the company’s cosmetic inventory no later than 90 days from the date of my appointment,” the politician said in his financial disclosure report in January, according to NBC.
Hines+Young is currently holding a liquidation sale on its website, where shoppers can find bundles of lip balms, linen spray, soaps, candles and body creams for discounted prices. “Our store closeout sale is your last chance to stock up on all your Hines+Young favorites — 30% off solo items and 70% off by the case,” said a post on the brand’s Instagram page on Feb. 14.
