Sanya Richards-Ross might have officially retired from competitive running back in 2016, but with a legacy as one of the world’s most storied track and field athletes – plus four Olympic gold medals and seven World Championship medals to prove it – she’s shown no signs of slowing down since.

The Shein x Sanya collaboration is also designed to support MommiNation, an organization that Richards-Ross founded in 2019 with the hope of cultivating more community for mothers of color. To mark the launch of their latest collection, Shein donated $50,000 to the organization.
“It [MommiNation] was born out of my own experiences as a Black mother after I fully recognized the unique challenges we face. When I became a mom, I began to understand the need for Black moms specifically to have a space that provides support, guidance, and connection, so the philanthropic arm of the organization, MommiNation Gives, was born out of this necessity. Through MommiNation Gives, we want to take action to help mothers of color thrive in their journey through motherhood,” she says.
