Chlöe‘s style evolution is one of the most dramatic in all of Hollywood. Having first rose to fame as part of the music group, Chloe and Halle, alongside her sister Halle Bailey, the singer has been in the entertainment business since 2003 – when she was just 5 years old. As such, the Atlanta native grew up in the spotlight, spending her childhood, pre-teen, and adolescent years gracing red carpets across the country. During her early years, she managed to be on-trend while still age appropriate, matching with her sister in metallic separates, floral dresses, or tulle frocks. As a teenager, Bailey began to experiment with bolder fashion trends, like cutout jumpsuits, netted gowns, and even swimsuits worn as tops. But the most marked difference in Chlöe Bailey’s outfits occurred when she went solo, releasing several singles and starring in both movies and TV shows separate from her sister.
As she began to discover her personal style and make a name for herself, Bailey started gravitating toward outfits that command attention. She’s now rarely seen in a look without some kind of provocative, boundary-pushing detail, whether it’s a sheer panel, a hip cutout, a thigh-high slit, or a plunging neckline. At the 2022 Met Gala, she thrilled fans in a gold sculptural Area gown with a low-cut strapless neckline, exaggerated hip and bust detail, and a slit up to her thigh. Onstage, she often dazzles in allover sequin catsuits with chest cutouts and sheer panels along the bodice. Even in her downtime, she keeps the alluring fashion trends going, lounging on vacation in metallic thongkinis, styled with body chains.
On June 2, she made an appearance at POPSUGAR’s Play/Ground event, looking as fashion-forward as ever. The “Treat Me” singer donned a Michael Ngo catsuit with cutouts and sheer panels along the legs, hips, and neckline. Styled by Zoe Costello, Bailey completed the look with an A. Potts coat and jewelry from Jennifer Fisher Jewelry, XIV Karats, and Defiance.
She continued to embrace bold trends on August 6, attending the Hall of Fame Induction celebration for Dwayne Wade, hosted by FWRD. For the event, the “Body Do” songstress wore a spiral illusion gown by Mugler. The long-sleeve gown featured sheer panels along her chest, sides, hips, and arms, cascading all the way down to the hem of her dress. Chlöe finished the look with small hoop earrings, and wore her gorgeous locs pulled off her face.
