Selena Gomez took to Instagram in the late hours of Wednesday to officially announce her engagement to partner and music producer Benny Blanco. The Rare Beauty founder and “Emilia Pérez” star shared a carousel post of images, featuring her diamond ring.
Gomez’s Instagram post featured a photo of her Marquise diamond engagement ring and a photo of the star with fiancé, Blanco. “Forever begins now,” Gomez captioned the collection of images.
Gomez’s engagement ring is a marquise-shaped diamond stone set atop yellow gold pavé shoulders with subtle, personal touches added by Blanco. The ring’s price is estimated at roughly $200,000, according to the diamond experts from United Kingdom retailer Steven Stone.
“Selena’s exquisite sparkler showcases a stunning 4-carat marquise-cut diamond, a true symbol of elegance and luxury. Its elongated shape holds special meaning for Selena, as it subtly alludes to the lyrics from her song ‘Good for You’, a personal touch from Benny,” Maxwell Stone, the creative director of Steven Stone, said in a statement.

Upon her engagement to Aristotle Onassis in 1968, Jackie Kennedy received a 40-carat marquise-cut diamond ring, which was known as the “Lesotho III.”
Gomez and Blanco worked together before they became a couple. The pair collaborated on the song “I Can’t Get Enough,” featuring J Balvin and Tainy. Four years later, Blanco attended an event for Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund Benefit in October 2023. By December of that year, Gomez confirmed her relationship with the music producer.
