Shakira made an appearance on “The Tonight Show” on Monday. The singer sat down with host Jimmy Fallon to discuss her new album, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” which debuted on March 22.
Shakira donned a glittering strapless black minidress by Balmain from the spring 2009 collection. The dress featured intricate sparkles throughout in unique designs, including crosses, swirls and various shapes. The singer accessorized with a few rings and a simple bracelet, and completed her look with a pair of Yigit Zip Platform Stiletto Booties by Amina Muaddi. The look was styled by Nicolas Bru.
This isn’t the first time Shakira has fashioned a Balmain dress and Amina Muaddi booties. For her album release party on March 22, the “Whenever, Wherever” singer wore a glittering black velvet Balmain minidress with sparkling details and fashioned the same shoes she wore during her appearance last night on “The Tonight Show.”
On both occasions, Shakira wore her down in a wavy style and opted for minimal accessories. Shakira’s recent appearance on “The Tonight Show” came only three days after her new album debuted.
“Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” marks Shakira’s first studio album in roughly seven years. Singles from the album have been dropping since April 2022, beginning with the debut of her song “Te Felicito.”
Several songs on Shakira’s latest album feature a number of artists with whom the singer collaborates, including Karol G, on the song “TQG,” Manuel Turizo, on “Copa Vacía” and Dj Ozuna, on “Monotonía.” Shakira also collaborated with Grammy winner Cardi B on the most recent single, “Puntería.”
The music video for the single, directed by Hannah Lux Davis and costarring “Emily in Paris” actor Lucien Laviscount, debuted the same day as the album’s release. In the video, Shakira wears the Pink Venus Wetlook Dress by Di Petsa.
