Sherri Chambers on Monday was named chief marketing officer at Hearst Magazines, according to the company’s president Debi Chirichella and global chief revenue officer Lisa Ryan Howard.

In the role, Chambers will oversee Hearst Magazines’ marketing functions, specifically industry marketing, brand account, strategy, events and the HearstMade creative studio. 

In a statement, Hearst said she will work with leaders across the company to “solidify Hearst’s value proposition, enhance awareness of the company’s portfolio of brands and strengthen relationships with advertising customers.”

“Sherri is a strategic, accomplished marketing leader with strong industry relationships and deep digital expertise,” Howard said. “She is an entrepreneurial thinker and her customer-centric approach will benefit Hearst as we continue to focus on digital innovation and executing our long-term growth strategy. I am thrilled to welcome her to the Hearst family.”

Chambers comes to Hearst Magazines from TikTok, where she served as the company’s first global head of brand strategy for three years. Additionally, Chambers has experience at start-ups and agencies and previously held leadership positions at Omnicom, Stagwell and Cheil.

Chambers assumes the role on Dec. 2 and reports to Howard.
