The spring 2027 runway shows at Milan Fashion Week were overtaken by animal print. Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and more presented shoes in leopard print, zebra print, snake print and other wild patterns this past week, while the stars who sat front row also modeled the footwear trend.
Jennifer Lopez was in Milan decked out in various Dolce & Gabbana looks. One of them included a full leopard print look, that featured a pair of slingback, pointed-toe high heels that were also made from a leopard print kid-leather.
During the fashion house’s runway shows, the designers presented an array of animal print designs in their clothing from skirts to dresses and tops, and down to the shoes. The collection will include mary jane ballerina flats, jewel embellished T-strap pumps and pointed-toe boots, all made in a dramatic leopard print.

Like Lopez, Cardi B also touched down in Milan showing off a head-to-toe animal print while attending the Roberto Cavalli spring 2027 fashion show. To sit front row at the show, the rapper opted for the Roberto Cavalli Animal-Print Leather Pumps With Snake Detail that wraps around the heel. She paired the shoes with a tiger print corset and fur coat for added flair.
Similar to Dolce & Gabbana, vibrant animal prints have become distinctive trademarks of Roberto Cavalli’s designs since the 1970s. This year’s collection was no different, but the brand hit it out of the park with the use of animal prints in their latest footwear designs.
Mules are an ongoing trend in the footwear space, so it’s only right for them to be presented in an array of prints like tortoiseshell, cheetah and zebra.
The animal-inspired details didn’t end with just prints. The shoes from the collection also included snake and serpent details, like the Grammy winner’s pumps and sandals that featured a curled up snake slithering up the foot as the T-strap on the vamp. The sandals’ straps and the soles also feature a snake print detail, giving the shoes an even more reptilian feel.
Iris Law attended the Fendi spring 2027 show on Sept. 23 wearing a snake print version of the fashion house’s popular Vertigo pumps. The Vertigo pumps were a popular choice for the front row, with stars like Yara Shahidi also wearing the style.
The shoes feature asymmetrical, delicately enveloping lines, and are tapered at the toe. The shoes are fastened with an ankle strap decorated with truncated-cone metal studs with a gold-finish. They are currently available in black and beige and retail for $1,350.
For the spring, Fendi is introducing the Vertigo in animal prints like the ones Law wore. She wore the shoes in the brand’s tegu-print leather in white. They were also presented in pink and light blue, and the Vertigo will also be available in a light brown leopard print. Other pumps were also show in both brown and gray leopard prints.
The animal print trend was also spotted as part of the street style looks in between shows in Milan. Italian actress Benedetta Porcaroli wore Prada’s printed leather loafers in a Dalmatian black-and-white spotted print on Wednesday. The timeless classic shoe has been reinterpreted with a contemporary design.
The block heel loafers combine classic shapes and details with square lines that add character to the silhouette. The Dalmatian-print leather completes the shoe with a bold and distinctive note.
Animal print shoes have been a popular choice for celebrities in 2026. From red carpets or as part of their street style looks, it a variety of iterations like sandals, boots and ballerina flats have gotten the wild print treatment.
