Simone Biles received the support of her family while competing in Tuesday’s team final of the women’s gymnastics during the 2024 Paris Olympics. The athlete was cheered by her husband, football player Jonathan Owens, and her parents, Nellie and Ronald Biles. The group watched Biles lead Team USA to victory in patriotic outfits.
Owens wore a ’90s-inspired graphic T-shirt with “Biles” printed on top and a collage of pictures of his wife in different gymnastics competitions. The Chicago Bears football player safety received an excused absence from training camp to support his wife in person.

This was Biles’ fifth gold medal. The team finished with a final score of 171.296, 5.802 above Team Italy, which placed second, followed by Team Brazil in third.
Biles will now compete in the women’s all-around final on Thursday, the vault final on Saturday, and the balance beam and floor exercise finals on Aug. 5.
