Perfect Moment, the skiwear brand, has launched Perfect Second Moment, a resale program in partnership with luxury platform Reflaunt. The service will be available on early access to U.S. customers today, which coincides with the end of ski season, with a wider rollout to customers in the U.K. and Europe this fall.

“At Perfect Moment we believe that luxury and sustainability can go hand-in-hand. We are committed to creating high-quality ski and fashion apparel that is made to last, sourced responsibly, and using recycled materials where possible. In an effort to make our products more accessible and last even longer, we are thrilled to partner with Reflaunt to introduce our resale program to help reduce our impact,” said Mark Buckley, chief executive officer of Perfect Moment.

By facilitating the resale of pre-owned skiwear, accessories and activewear through Reflaunt’s technology, Perfect Second Moment is designed to extend the longevity of Perfect Moment’s high-quality luxury items, building on the brand’s commitment to durability and quality.

Reflaunt removes the hassle of listing each item and finding a buyer on resale marketplaces, and the customer receives a gift card to use at Perfect Moment without having to wait for their item to sell.

“We are excited to partner with Perfect Moment and provide their customers with a seamless way to buy and sell their skiwear,” said Stephanie Crespin, founder and CEO of Reflaunt. “The end of the ski season, colliding with spring clean-out habits, is a critical moment to facilitate circular habits and ensure these high-quality items are taken care of — which is why we open early access to U.S. customers today, and we look forward to scaling up this program globally this year.”

The service is available today at perfectsecondmoment.com.

The way it works for customers to trade in their skiwear and activewear is they identify the pieces they’d like to send in with the search bar, using either the product ID or product name. They tell the company about the items’ condition and receive an estimated voucher amount for each item. The customer receives a free shipping label and can drop off their item at a UPS point. The customer will be mailed a voucher after the item is received and evaluated. The voucher can be redeemed online at perfectmoment.com. The company said it can’t accept items that have holes, marks or stains, are missing part or all of the care label, that have been altered or tailored, are kidswear or helmets, or are counterfeit.

Once a customer sends in the items, they cannot be returned. The gift cards are valued at 15 to 20 percent of the item, depending on category and conditions.

The best items will be available to buy on Perfect Second Moment, and the rest of the inventory will be listed on Reflaunt’s network of resale channels, which include Poshmark, eBay, Vestiaire Collective, Saks Off 5th, Level Shoes and The Vintage Bar. Ineligible items go to donation and recycling partners.

As reported, on Feb. 8, 2024, Perfect Moment completed an initial public offering of common stock that generated net proceeds of $6.4 million on the New York Stock Exchange. The company’s stock closed Friday at $2.93. In March, Perfect Moment named Thom Humphris as creative director.

Reflaunt, a resale technology provider, enables fashion brands to offer their customers a resale service directly on their e-commerce. The infrastructure allows the brands to inspect and value every item, have it sold again, and increase customer loyalty via shopping credits rewards.
