Slayyyter hit the 2026 MTV VMAs arrival carpet with elevated distressed style in mind on Sunday night at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater.
The “Crank” singer sported a neutral, asymmetrical gown with a touch of shimmer and shine throughout. The bodice featured one frayed shoulder strap and a thin, spaghetti-style strap on the opposite shoulder.
The corseted bodice continued the frayed fabric element featured on the one strap, a motif that continued throughout the dress at a slight angle and wrapped all the way down the skirt, which including a thigh-high slit.

Adding more drama to her look, Slayyyter’s dress included flowing chiffon fabric in a peachy tone that cascaded along the arrival carpet. Along with distressed material creating the body of the dress, elements of sparkle and shine add feminine touches to the look.
The singer, who often designs her own performance wardrobe, capped of the look with a strappy pair of sandal heels including a bevy of sparkle to boot. As a statement accessory, the singer went with a choker necklace with gemstones in a tiered effect, complementing the tone of the dress.
Slayyyter is nominated for two MTV VMAs: Best Dance for her song “Dance” and Song of Summer for “Brand New Chanel$.” Sunday night marks the singer’s debut at the awards show.
The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards returned to Los Angeles on Sunday at the Peacock Theater, marking the show’s first West Coast edition since 2017. Snoop Dogg hosts the ceremony, which airs live on CBS and MTV and streams on Paramount+.
Madonna, this year’s most-nominated artist, is set to open the show, while Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard Award and Taylor Swift will be honored with MTV’s inaugural Artist Director Honors.
