Sperry celebrated the launch of its new collaboration with contemporary artist Matt McCormick and his creative label One of These Days at Art Basel in Miami on Thursday.
According to the footwear brand, the new collection introduces two limited-edition silhouettes named after McCormick’s dogs, Tony and Lou.
First is the Sperry x One of These Days Lou Boat Shoe, which is offered in Chocolate or Black embossed leather. The shoe introduces a distinctive Western embossing design that adds texture to the classic footwear style.
In contrast, the Sperry x One of These Days Tony Moc Boot features a lace-up construction and signature Sperry stitching in Chocolate or Black leather. Both styles are finished with One of These Days’ signature Running Horse mark stamped on the heel, and come in a limited-edition co-branded shoe box.

Jonathan Frankel, president of Sperry, said in a statement that he is “thrilled” that Sperry could serve as the canvas to McCormick’s art.
“What makes this collaboration especially meaningful is knowing Matt has been wearing Sperry for years,” Frankel noted. “This collection is not only a natural extension of his artistic practice, but also a reflection of his genuine love for the brand.”
For McCormick, the project is deeply personal. “I came across the traditional Sperry boat shoe in 2008, right after moving to New York from California,” the artist said. “The classic silhouette with quiet elegance came from a world different from mine, which made it all the more compelling. This collaboration is a return to that feeling and carries the same sense of freedom, refined and reimagined for now.”
The Sperry x One of These Days collection, which retails between $185 and $295, is now available on Sperry.com, OneOfTheseDays.com, Huckberry.com and Nordstrom.
