Beauty and Well-being, a media and event platform founded by industry veteran Clémence von Mueffling, is gearing up for its seasonal pop-up The Collective. 

The event, which will be hosted at the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) skyroom on May 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., will feature several beauty and wellness brands, including L’infuseur, Emily’s Pillow, Koba, AKT London, Shikohin, Nuence, Kure Bazaar, La Rosée and Macrene Actives. 

Along with the spring-themed event, Beauty and Well-being is also celebrating its 10-year anniversary.

“It’s definitely going to be even more special than usual because we have some brands that have never been shown in the United States before,” said von Mueffling. “All the founders will be there.” 

Von Mueffling first began hosting The Collective pop-ups in 2022 to create a space where attendees could experience a curated assortment of brands. Now, she has built a network of attendees. 

“People come back because they know that it gives them a curation and a window on brands that they have not seen” she said. “This makes me very happy now to have all these distributors joining because we’ve had a lot of success stories.” 

Here, a look at five of the newest and hottest brands von Mueffling is showcasing at her seasonal event.

AKT is a natural, plastic-free and aluminum-free deodorant brand founded by West End actors ​​Ed Currie and Andy Coxon. “They are dancers so they definitely know something about getting the right deodorant,” joked von Mueffling. 

Emily’s Pillow

Emily’s Pillow is a natural and organic silk pillow case and sleep mask brand.  “What makes them very different is that it’s a French company, and France has been very well known for having silk factories since the Renaissance,” von Mueffling said.

This French, family-founded brand, which is not currently available in the U.S., offers a line of premium, natural teas and broths. At the event, attendees will be able to try out the brand’s detox teas, a favorite of von Mueffling. 

La Rosée

La Rosée is a French, pharmacist-founded brand that offers a line of skin and hair care products. “In just a few years, they took over all of the French pharmacies,” said von Mueffling.
