Beauty looks took creative turns on the Paris runways during the recent season showcasing men’s spring 2025 fashion collections.

At Comme des Garçons, models’ heads were adorned with colorful creations that appeared made of piles of multicolored swathes. They were the dream child of Takeo Arai, who channeled artistic director Rei Kawakubo’s uplifting show theme, “The Hope of Light.”

At Loewe, where Anthony Turner oversaw hairstyle and Lynsey Alexander was in charge of makeup, feathers were the embellishment of choice. From one to many plumes, ranging from gold-colored to speckled, they hung down over models’ faces, to mysterious effect.

The look was also enigmatic at Undercover, where different colors of lace or gold leaf covered the upper part of faces, and some models’ heads were adorned with golden, spikey crowns.

Daniel Sallstrom took the lead on makeup at Rick Owens, where there was an epic fashion spectacle. Some models there had peepers made up of asymmetric red and black makeup, and a red line slashed across their noses.

Metallic details popped on other runways, too. Hair was colored silver in some instances at Jeanne Friot. At Kiko Kostadinov, a stripe of silver ran down the side of models’ faces.

A swathe of textured color, like mint green or beige, ran from half a forehead to chin at Feng Chen Wang.

For Y-3, a small streak of white was added from the outer corner of a model’s eye, with the rest of their face left bare. A trio of stripes also adorned some tresses. A nose was colored gray or brown and a bottom lip turned white, green or yellow at Solid Homme.

Beauty creativity also abounded at the likes of Walter Van Beirendonck and Sankuanz.
