Sydney Sweeney may have skipped the star-studded Super Bowl, but she still had her own historic moment on Sunday night, punctuated by Ferragamo slingbacks.
The actress attended the 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival for the festival’s Virtuosos Awards at the Arlington Theatre, where she wore Ferragamo bow-detail patent leather slingback pumps with a vintage Cecil Chapman gown previously worn by Marilyn Monroe on a 1952 “Life” cover.
The pointed-toe style came in a blush-beige shade, with a slim slingback strap, small metal buckle and a narrow heel. At the vamp, a petite leather bow looped through gold-tone hardware added the brand’s signature detail. The pumps retail for $1,090.

The shoes sat just under a champagne Cecil Chapman gown that carried the night’s biggest archival reference. Styled by Molly Dickson, Sweeney wore an off-the-shoulder dress with ruched sleeves, a draped bodice and gathered seams pulling into the center of the skirt. The column silhouette fell to the ankles with soft pleating through the front.
As for her glam, she stayed in the Old Hollywood lane, keeping makeup soft and styling her hair in a side-parted blowout. She finished with a ring stack and minimal jewelry, while the blush Ferragamo slingbacks stayed in the same neutral range as the gown.
Sweeney has been favoring slingback pumps as of late. In December, she visited “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in Paris Texas’ Lidia slingbacks, a sharply pointed patent style with a slim covered heel in the brand’s Rouge Noir shade. Earlier in the fall at the 2025 SCAD Savannah Film Festival, she accepted the Spotlight Award in white leather slingback pumps paired with a Stella McCartney minidress, keeping the same backless shape in a brighter palette.
The Virtuosos Award ceremony serves as one of the festival’s key showcases for a slate of performers across the season’s buzziest titles. This year’s honorees included Jacob Elordi, Jeremy Allen White, Renate Reinsve and Teyana Taylor, with Sweeney attending as a Virtuosos Award recipient for her work in “Christy.”
