Tanya Taylor is getting into the sports action. She will launch Off Court, a sport-inspired collection that captures the essence of old school prep through a modern lens.

Off Court channels the fashion industry’s obsession with tennis and golf into polished staples designed for real life. The collection features pleated skirts, chevron-striped knits, classic polos and streamlined dresses. There are flouncy hems, distinct necklines and preppy color palettes such as crisp whites, navy, optic greens and pinks.

Sizes go from from XS to XL. Retail prices range from $25 to $345, and the line will be sold at tanyataylor.com and Taylor’s two retail stores in New York and Greenwich, Conn., as well as wholesale accounts. The line will launch online on Tuesday and in their own stores on April 20. The capsule will go into their wholesale accounts the week of April 20.

“I’ve never believed that sporty pieces should be limited to the court. As a budding tennis player myself, I’ve had so much fun finding ways to weave that spirit into how I get dressed everyday — whether it’s a polo with denim or a pleated skirt styled for the city. For me, a little element of sport just makes everyday dressing feel more effortless and playful,” Taylor said.

The capsule collection is Taylor’s first limited drop of what they hope they can continue to offer their customers. “Our customers love court sports and the off-court lifestyle, and we would love to keep designing sport-inspired feminine capsules for them,” Taylor said. This capsule represents the first sports-inspired expansion for the brand.

The collection is being produced in Portugal and China.
