Blush pumps can disappear on a carpet, but Tate McRae’s pair didn’t come close.
At Variety’s Hitmakers brunch in Los Angeles on Saturday — where she accepted the Powerhouse of the Year award — the singer punctuated her look with Christian Louboutin’s Sporty Kate pump in blush.
The 85 mm silhouette featured a pointed toe and a low-cut vamp, revealing the top of the foot in the shoe’s signature shape. In photos, the blush leather reads as a soft neutral, while the signature red sole offers the only bright contrast. The heel height sits lower than the So Kate lineage but keeps the same tapered outline Louboutin has repeated across the Kate family, which traces back to the designer’s original pointed pump named for Kate Moss.
McRae styled the heel with an archival Versace Fall 2003 dress in the same muted hue. The dress featured exposed boning through the bodice and visible seams along the front, with the skirt falling into uneven tiers.

The Sporty Kate is somewhat of a subtle choice, considering McRae’s recent shoe choices. Last month in New York, she wore patent thong sandals with layered fall separates during an evening out. Earlier this year at the London premiere of “F1: The Movie,” she wore sharply pointed black heels with a black dress.
Accepting her award, McRae reflected on the meaning of the moment. “As a young woman in the music industry, I don’t always feel like a powerhouse, or even really know what power means,” she said. “I think this year I really tried to figure out how to harness my power in a way that wasn’t defined by external validation or by pleasing others.” The appearance capped a year marked by a sold-out arena tour and new music.
