Taylor Swift stepped out in a knee-high boot and plaid miniskirt — a combo the superstar has showcased before — in New York City on Wednesday, heading to her appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” wearing suede Christian Louboutin boots with a Miu Miu skirt.
Swift, who notably wore custom Louboutin shoes during her Eras Tour, was wearing a brown suede Jane boot from the French luxury brand. The silhouette features an angled block heel, a rounded toe and a close-fitting knee-high shaft. Of course, the sole was splashed with the brand’s signature red color. At Bergdorf Goodman, the footwear style is priced at $2,195.
The boots complement the earthy colorway of Swift’s Miu Miu miniskirt, which features a black side belt with a gold buckle. A furry beige teddy coat from Max Mara helped to keep the musician warm.

This outfit fits in with Swift’s usual fashion sense. She’s done the knee-high boot/plaid Miu Miu skirt combo before — back in October, she wore a boot style from Jennifer Chamandi with a different skirt from the Prada subsidiary.
Amid the colder weather, Swift has been loving knee-high boot moments. On Tuesday in New York City, for instance, she wore a black leather block heel style from another brand she frequently wears, Louis Vuitton, stepping out in the brand’s Midtown high boot.
In another example, while out in New York City in November, she got in on the 2025 snakeskin shoe trend with knee-high Stella McCartney boots made from Yatay M, a cruelty-free vegan alternative to snakeskin which is mycelium-based.
For the actual taping of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” Swift switched to a velvet red look from head to toe. Evoking the holiday season, she wore an off-the-shoulder mini dress from David Koma and Aquazzura’s Dangerous Liaisons style, which is a pointed-toe pump with side cut outs. She is currently promoting the Disney+ docuseries “The End of an Era” — the first two episodes will release on Friday.
