Teyana Taylor leaned all the way into Harris Reed’s high-impact styling at the Variety & Golden Globes Pre-Golden Globes Party at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Friday. The “One Battle After Another” actress and singer wore Nina Ricci’s spring 2026 look 10, finished with the collection’s over-the-knee purple python boots.

The pointed toe boots featured a tall, close-fitting over-the-knee shaft in violet and black snakeskin patterning, paired with a curved dark wedge heel cut into rounded, stacked segments. Practical side zippers with gold hardware closed the shaft and left the python upper uninterrupted through the front and sides.

The rest of Taylor’s outfit stayed true to the runway. She wore the same cropped jacket with a plunging neckline in metallic jacquard, with red and gold panels and wide black satin lapels. The skirt followed in ruched white fabric printed with irregular black dots and finished in a fluted hem. Her accessories included amber-tinted shield sunglasses, long braids and a textured silver clutch.

Reed and stylist Carine Roitfeld first showed the ensemble at the Sorbonne in Paris last October in a collection WWD’s Joelle Diderich described as a mix of “polished glamour and bohemian rock attitude,” with Ricci’s dots set against metallic fabrics and acid-toned python. The show introduced knee-high python boots with sculpted wedge heels, seen here on Taylor in the same purple finish from the runway.

The appearance extends a busy stretch of footwear for Taylor. In December, she moved away from her usual platform boots at the Critics’ Choice Association’s Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, wearing Alexandre Birman’s Clarita Bell Slingback 100 pumps in black satin with the label’s bow detail and a shorter, flared heel. On “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the same month, she chose metallic silver Jimmy Choo Ixia pumps with a 90mm stiletto and drop heel. She also recently wore over-the-knee black leather boots from Saint Laurent’s fall 2025 menswear collection to the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, a thigh-high style that has also appeared on Pedro Pascal and Alexander Skarsgård.

Nina Ricci’s purple python wedge boots gave Taylor a new snakeskin entry this winter season, following Julia Fox’s Gucci python peep toe pumps moment in New York last month, Taylor Swift’s Stella McCartney vegan python knee-highs last November and Iman’s Tod’s python knee-highs at the brand’s spring 2026 show. They are far from the only celebrities who have leaned into the snakeskin trend, though:
