With soccer’s influence on sneakers and fashion at-large growing over the past few years, it should come as no surprise that the 2026 World Cup is proving more sneaker-centric than any previous tournament.
Releases tied to the sport’s pinnacle event started popping up early in the year and have building with more frequency as Thursday’s opening game has drawn closer. Through collaborations and in-line efforts, all the major brands have been tossing out options to rep futbol on-foot throughout the summer.

Adidas Samba “USA Denim”

Adidas no longer sponsors the U.S. National Team, but it does still have the rights to the once-polarizing starry denim jersey design it made for the squad at the 1994 World Cup. Air Jordan 3 “Brazil”

Brazil will arrive at the World Cup this summer as the first national soccer team to ever wear a kit with Jumpman branding — and only the second team overall after French club Paris Saint Germain. This colorful Air Jordan 3 was made to match the Jordan away kit and has a spirit befitting “o jogo bonito.”

KidSuper x Bape Sta

Pictured her is the Mexico edition, but KidSuper and Bape have gone all out with a collaborative colorway of the Sta sneaker for all 48 teams in the World Cup. No other brand has achieved the same scale through this year’s circuit.
Nike Air Max 90 “Hypervenom”

Palace x England x Nike Cryoshot Air Speed M

Seven brands each chose a different classic Nike soccer boot to have its studs encapsulated in a more walkable TPU shell as part of their larger X2 collections. One of the clear highlights is Palace’s more obscure choice of the first shoe to break into the top flight of English football in the late-’80s.
