“The Golden Bachelor” couple Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner were married in a live ABC special on Thursday night titled “The Golden Wedding.” The pair, who got engaged in the November finale of the show, had their ceremony at LaQuinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, Calif. “The Golden Bachelor” contestant Susan Noles officiated the wedding.
For the nuptials, Nist wore a Badgley Mischka Bride gown. The off-the-shoulder mermaid gown featured a sweetheart neckline, romantic floral embroidery and a dramatic tulle skirt. On its Instagram account, Badgley Mischka described Nist as “a woman of style as she walks down the aisle.” Nist also wore Badgley Mischka’s Firey bejeweled block-heel sandals for the day.
Badgley Mischka also dressed Nist’s four bridesmaids. Each bridesmaid wore an azure chiffon ruffle gown from the Badgley Mischka collection, with sandals from the Badgley Mischka footwear collection.
Also in attendance at the wedding were jewelry designer Neil Lane, famous for his jewelry. Brayden Bowers and his fellow “Bachelor in Paradise” co-star Christina Mandrell got engaged ahead of the wedding ceremony on the telecast, with a Neil Lane ring.
Trista Sutter, runner-up on “The Bachelor” Season One and star of the first season of “The Bachelorette” was also in attendance, with her husband, Ryan Sutter, to support her fellow reality TV stars.
The first season of “The Golden Bachelor” was filmed over the course of four weeks in August, with the Nist and Turner getting engaged on Aug. 31. The pair knew each other for five months and dated for four before getting married.
