The recently renovated Upper East Side hotel in New York has unveiled decor inspired by Mikimoto’s Pearls & Petals high jewelry collection.
It’s looking like a pearly white Christmas at The Surrey hotel.
The Upper East Side hotel, which unveiled a full property renovation last year, has teamed with jewelry brand Mikimoto for the holiday season. The collaboration includes a tree decked with strands of pearls and ball ornaments, along with other lobby decor inspired by Mikimoto’s Pearls & Petals high jewelry collection. In addition to the festive installation, through Jan. 7 guests staying in one of the hotel’s suites will be gifted a Mikimoto fragrance and an Assouline × Mikimoto coffee table book, and have access to a private shopping experience at the brand’s nearby Madison Avenue boutique. The hotel’s onsite Surrey Spa will also offer a limited Pearls & Petals facial, which pairs a pearl peptide glaze treatment with the spa’s signature Sisley Paris products.
This past summer, Mikimoto unveiled a high jewelry collection in collaboration with Adeam designer Hanako Maeda, which followed a limited capsule collection with fashion brand Chrome Hearts last fall. Earlier this year, the Tokyo-based brand appointed Kentaro Nishimura its president and chief executive officer. Nishimura told WWD that he wants to deepen the brand’s emotional connection with clients, aiming to “drive strategic growth through selective retail expansion, elevated client experiences and meaningful digital transformation.”
