I’m constantly waiting for E.l.f. to debut a new launch that disrupts the industry. It endlessly impresses me and others in the beauty world, and for good reason. Not only is it able to quickly come out with its own versions of viral formulations, but often, it manages to improve on them even more.

That’s why I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the brand-new E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops ($12). At first glance, the product immediately reminds me of other options on the market, but is it as good? Lucky for you, I put it to the test. Keep scrolling for my honest review of the new E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops.

About the E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops

  • This serum provides skin with a glowy bronze upon application.

  • There are three shades available, including Rose Gold, Pure Gold, and Copper Gold.

  • It can be mixed with your favorite serum, oil, or moisturizer for a seamless application.

What I Like About the E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops

I got my hands on all three shades of the drops and was immediately drawn to the Rose Gold hue. The plastic packaging is simple and nothing fancy, but it gets the job done and keeps the product safely contained – aka, you won’t have to worry about it exploding in your toiletry bag.

What I really appreciated about these drops is the inclusion of good-for-you skin-care ingredients, like vitamin E, sunflower oil, marula oil, and raspberry seed oil. These ingredients not only provided my skin with nourishment but also left me looking glowy and bronzed. The pigment is not quite glittery but more glowy, with a slight shimmery sheen, especially in natural lighting. I opted to wear it on its own without any makeup for these photos, and it doesn’t feel like anything is on the skin.

How to Use the E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops

The brand suggests mixing the drops with your go-to moisturizer or oil, so that’s exactly what I did. I placed a pea-sized amount of moisturizer into the palm of my hand, followed by a pea-sized amount of the drops, and mixed it with my fingers. Once thoroughly combined, I slowly started distributing it to my face, using my fingers as the brand suggested.

The first time I tried it, it may have been the specific moisturizer I was using, but blending took longer than I anticipated. It seems like it dried down quickly, leaving certain parts looking splotchy. So, after removing the product with micellar water and moving faster during the application process, the results were much better. It still took quite a while to blend, but overall, I was happy with the bronze it gave my skin. In hindsight, I’d probably use a brush to distribute the product next time. I wore this on its own without any makeup, except for brows, to really appreciate the full effect of the product.

What to Consider Before Trying the E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops

If you’re searching for a little pick-me-up on days when your skin is looking dull, the E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops are bound to become your new fave. Not only is the price point amazing, but the three shades they offer will look fab on just about anyone, regardless of age, skin type, or skin tone. In my experience, blending took a bit more work than I’m typically used to, but if you’re willing to do the work, I recommend getting your hands on this new product.

Where Are the E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops Available?

The E.l.f. Skin Bronzing Drops are available on the brand’s site and will later be available for purchase through Amazon, Target, Walmart, CVS, Ulta, and Walgreens.
