For the 2024 Oscars, Kirsten Dunst walked the red carpet in a custom Gucci gown with fresh, dewy skin and a statement lip. While we don’t have the details on her signature shade of red lipstick, we’ve uncovered the secret to her flawless complexion: Danucera’s Cerabalm, a multitasking moisturizer created by esteemed facialist Danuta Mieloch.
“For Kirsten’s Oscars look, it was all about skin,” makeup artist Melanie Inglessis shared in a press release. Danucera’s Cerabalm was the only product for the task: This gel moisturizer imparts a gorgeous dewy finish on the skin, also doubling as a gentle cleansing balm. The Cerabalm was the first and last step in Dunst’s Oscars beauty routine: Inglessis used the balm to cleanse Dunst’s skin, starting out the skin prep process by massaging it onto her complexion and rinsing it off with a warm wash cloth. And as a final touch for Dunst’s radiant makeup look, Inglessis used Cerabalm “on the cheekbones and collar bones for a pop of natural glow,” according to the makeup artist. Via Instagram Stories, Inglessis calls the product her “secret weapon.”
So what’s to love about this jelly-textured wonder? The Cerabalm includes a potent dose of hibiscus oil (a plant-based ingredient that softens fine lines), plus hydrating meadowfoam oil and anti-inflammatory sea buckthorn oil. This trio of ingredients makes the Cerabalm an excellent moisturizer for dry, sensitive skin, targeting dullness, redness, and signs of aging. You can apply a thin coat on your complexion, or layer it on as an intensive hydrating face mask.
While Danucera’s Cerabalm is a dream face cream for dry skin types, anyone can use it as a high-powered lip balm or in place of a body cream for extra-dry patches (like scratchy elbows or thirsty hands). As far as we’re concerned, that’s genius in a jar — shop the Cerabalm below before this cult-favorite beauty product sells out.
