While some shoppers and retailers are already starting to look ahead to spring, it’s still very much boot season for the foreseeable future, which makes the arrival of Timberland’s latest woven 6-inch boot all the more timely.
After delivering a fully blacked-out version of the boot in November, Timberland has quietly released another version of the popular lace-up in olive full-grain leather. The entire upper features an intricately woven full-grain leather which maintains the Premium 6-Inch Boot’s signature quadruple-stitched seams and padded leather collar. And while it’s not fully waterproof like a typical Premium 6-Inch Boot, the compromise for a luxe, fully woven leather upper is one that many shoppers will likely be willing to make.
Getting into the shoe’s specs, the Timberland Textured Premium 6-Inch Boot uses the brand’s Premium Timberland Leather across the upper, which is developed responsibly through the label’s partnership with the Leather Working Group. It features a dual-density rubber midsole and lug outsole, so you can be sure there’s no allegations of “boneless” Timbs here. The boot is also lined with leather and comes with 100 percent recycled PET boot laces.

First introduced early last year, the Timberland Textured Premium 6-Inch Boot has drawn comparisons to Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato woven leather. However, Timberland’s riff on the lattice-like Bottega Veneta look came after the high-fashion label had released its own Haddock Lace-Up Ankle Boot, seen by many as a high-end interpretation of Timberland’s iconic boot. The back-and-forth references have since continued with additional styles of the woven Timberland model.
Timberland has also recently released the woven leather boot in beige, although that style has mostly sold out at this point.
