Tina Knowles is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. After designing costumes for Destiny’s Child in the early 2000s, she launched the House of Dereon clothing line in partnership with her daughter Beyoncé in 2004. The brand showed during London Fashion Week in 2011 after partnering with U.K. department store chain Selfridges for their spring 2012 collection.
Knowles is also a philanthropist and art collector, and has showcased a deep commitment to empowering Black artists and promoting racial justice through her work. She has integrated herself with numerous business endeavors over the years, with the most recent being the launch of hair care line Cécred, inspired by Knowles’ own Headliners Hair Salon, which she owned and ran during the 1990s in Houston.
Over the years, Knowles had her share of red carpet moments, whether accompanying Beyoncé or her youngest daughter, Solange, to award shows and premieres. Here, WWD takes a closer look at some of Knowles’ fashionable moments through the years.
