Tory Burch will introduce a limited-edition capsule of sport apparel and accessories with The Explorers Club, featuring the new “Women in Exploration” patch.
Since 1904, The Explorers Club has advanced field research, scientific exploration and conservation, from the North and South Poles to the furthest depths of the ocean, the highest summits, and outer space. Historically, its legacy of adventure and discovery has been embodied by a man on The Explorers Club seal. The club was excited when Burch suggested they work together to create a new icon celebrating its extraordinary women members, including Jane Goodall, Sylvia Earle, Carol Beckwith, and Kathryn Sullivan.
Burch collaborated with the medal designer and nature artist Emily Damstra to design the “Women in Exploration” patch, which depicts a woman climbing skyward in Burch’s signature chevron leggings and jacket. The patch is featured on recycled nylon belt bags, baseball caps, and a tech canvas jacket. Retail prices range from $90 to $595. The capsule is available at toryburch.com ahead of International Women’s Day on Sunday.

“The patch represents all of the extraordinary women who have broken barriers, ventured into the unknown, and advanced the fields of exploration, research, and conservation,” said Burch. ” I hope it will inspire the next generation to follow in their courageous footsteps.”
Barbara Doran, president-elect of The Explorers Club, said, “For more than a century, women have been at the forefront of exploration — diving deeper, climbing higher, and pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery. Jane Goodall, Sylvia Earle, Kathryn Sullivan, and so many others didn’t wait for an invitation. They led the way. This partnership with Tory Burch gives that legacy the recognition it deserves, and I’m proud that it will directly support the next generation of women explorers. The patch is new, but the spirit behind it is as old as The Explorers Club itself.”
Ten percent of net sales from the capsule will benefit The Explorers Club to support women in exploration. The patch will also be used in future merchandise sold by The Explorers Club and its partners.
