Swiss watch brand Tudor has unveiled a partnership as the official timekeeper of Inter Miami FC, the soccer club co-owned by long-standing Tudor ambassador David Beckham.
Beckham’s MLS club, alongside managing owner Jorge Mas and co-owner Jose Mas, counts superstar Lionel Messi on its roster, as well as Luis Suárez and Gonzalo Higuaín and the club has become known worldwide for its signature color of pink.
Under the terms of the new deal, the Tudor shield logo will appear on the ramparts of Inter Miami’s Chase Stadium and there will be Tudor branded clocks throughout.
The Swiss watchmaker has had a long-standing relationship with Beckham that began in 2017 when the former professional soccer player was unveiled as the new face of the brand. Before the club’s inception, the watchmaker also presented him with a unique Tudor Pelagos model that bears the Inter Miami CF crest on the dial, a watch that Beckham has worn for every match.
Following news of the partnership and in a surprise launch just before this year’s edition of the Watches & Wonders fair next month, Tudor has released the Black Bay Chrono “Pink,” a model that exemplifies a departure from the brand’s typical military aesthetic and which is based on a watch created for Taiwanese singer and musician and Tudor ambassador Jay Chou.
The new chronograph, which features Inter Miami’s signature team color, has a pink domed dial which contrasts with the black sub-dials and black anodized aluminum bezel insert. Powered by a Manufacture Calibre MT5813 movement, the watch has a 41mm 316L stainless-steel case and a matching five-link bracelet with a T-fit clasp (the first time it has been utilized within the Black Bay Chrono collection).
Inter Miami FC’s players will be among the first to wear the timepiece, according to the brand, and the watch will only be available in small quantities beginning in April and is set to carry a price tag of $5,675.
