Ulla Johnson will unveil two custom built in-store shoppable installations at Neiman Marcus NorthPark in Dallas, celebrating the new season and Johnson’s relationship with art.
The installation features a swirling monolith backdrop custom-built for the company’s fall 2024 runway show that took place at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn, and repurposed for retail. It uses motifs from the collection and molder from paper pulp by Brooklyn-based artist Abby Cheney.
Ready-to-wear and accessories are displayed on handmade Douglas fir totems and plinths, and a bespoke rug, handmade in Morroco and in a custom Ulla Johnson print.
Johnson will be in Dallas Thursday for a private celebratory dinner at The Nasher Sculpture Garden with top customers and Neiman Marcus executives: Ryan Ross, president of Neiman Marcus and head of NMG Customer Insights, Lana Todorovich, chief merchandising officer, and Jodi Kahn, vice president, luxury fashion. There will be an in-store floral giveaway of a hand-tied bouquet on Thursday, while supplies last.
