While Beyoncé was bringing NYFW to a halt over in Bushwick at the Luar show on Tuesday night, Tod’s had gathered a rather A-list crowd themselves at its Madison Avenue boutique to celebrate its reopening.
The night was hosted by Diego Della Valle, chief executive officer of Tod’s Group, and Uma Thurman, fresh off her front row appearance at the Tory Burch show the night before. Guests included Kathryn Newton, in a swipe of bright orange lipstick, and co-stars of “And Just Like That” Sarita Choudhury and Nicole Ari Parker, who posed for photos together in the back of the store. Kelly Rutherford, another frequent face this NYFW, chatted with Della Valle, who had landed in New York from Italy with his son earlier in the day just as the snow was beginning to lighten up. Other guests included Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sai De Silva, Anna Van Patten, Meredith Duxbury, Bambi Northwood-Blyth and Dree Hemingway.
Once the shelves had thoroughly been admired, a select group was shuttled up from the boutique to The Mark hotel for an intimate dinner of burrata, branzino or tenderloin and chocolate cake. Elizabeth Hurley and her model son Damien were perched on a couch inside the restaurant lounge space awaiting guests, soon joined in conversation by Brody and Rutherford. Allison Williams breezed in, holding hands with boyfriend Alexander Dreymon, best known for his work in Netflix’s “The Last Kingdom.” Alexandra Shipp and Newton were deep in conversation as Thurman slipped in, taking her seat at the dinner table next to Della Valle.
