Vice President Kamala Harris hosted the NCAA championship teams celebration on the South Lawn of the White House on Monday. Harris posed for photos with several guests and opted for an outfit that put a contemporary twist on power suiting.
For the occasion, Harris chose a power suit with a muted, modern color palette, featuring a charcoal blazer with coordinated trousers and gray blouse. Harris’s power suit featured a single-breasted blazer with double pockets at the hips and sharp lapels. Her trousers were tailored with a tapered cut and a hemline at the ankle.
Along with the suit, Harris chose a blouse that featured an asymmetric neckline and fabric draping in a shade of gray. She paired the suit with pointed toe black heels and wore an American flag pin on her lapel.

As for other accessories, the vice president of the United States also opted for a pair of pearl earrings. The politician often wears pearls as a nod to her collegiate sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha.
During the event, Harris posed for photos alongside Florida State University women’s soccer player Jordynn Dudley and Lynda Tealer, the NCAA senior vice president of championships. Dudley opted for a monochrome white suit, while Tealer fashioned a matching dress and jacket set in a shade of sand.
Harris’s event at the White House comes one day after President Joe Biden announced that he would suspend his re-election campaign and endorsed Harris as the presidential nominee for the Democratic Party. Harris released a statement accepting the president’s support.
“On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country,” the vice president said. “I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.”
