Vice President Kamala Harris stopped by Tyra Banks’ Smize and Dream ice cream pop-up in Washington on Friday.
Alongside her nieces, Harris sported a cream blazer, a white t-shirt and black trousers, accessorizing with a gold chainlink necklace and an American flag pin.
Banks’ ice cream business is named for her trademark “smize” catchphrase, which was popularized on the reality competition show “America’s Next Top Model.” The portmanteau refers to someone smiling “with their eyes.”
The Sports Illustrated covergirl has fond memories of getting ice cream with her mother as a child.

“My mom and I would sit in the car and she would talk about the sacrifices to get to her dream,” Banks told D.C. News Now. “So, ice cream for me is love of my mama, bonding, togetherness and dreams.”
In a post shared to Instagram on Saturday, Harris said attending the pop-up was “a joy.”
“Thank you for having us, Tyra. I look forward to seeing your continued investment in the ambition and aspirations of the DC community,” the Vice President continued.
In the comments, Banks replied, “It reminded me of the special times when I would get ice cream with my Mama Carolyn every Friday night. She was a single mom working extra hard to make her dreams come true for our family, but those nights she reserved for time with me.”
