Whoopi Goldberg brought her love of outdoor footwear to the Tribeca Festival in New York City on Thursday with a pair of bright yellow and blue barefoot shoes.
Goldberg donned a pair of foot-shaped shoes showcasing a sunny yellow color with a blue trim; a singular strap stretched across the top of the low-profile set. The shoe is the Strappers style from the brand Bearefoot, and has the word “Outdoor” strapped on the upper. The shoes brought a bright, athletic touch to her festival ensemble, which consisted of a simple navy top and pants (or jumpsuit) paired with a breezy white long-sleeve layer.
This footwear look seems to be a go-to for Goldberg, who has worn waterproof shoes before to seemingly non-outdoorsy events. In July 2024, she wore blue waterproof hiking shoes to celebrate her cannabis brand Emma & Clyde and later that month donned a green pair pair when she did a SiriusXM interview.

On Wednesday at Tribeca Festival, Goldberg went a different footwear route but still kept an athletic edge with a pair of black sneakers featuring a distinctive sculpted sole; these shoes went with a white top, jeans and a statement black and white patterned coat.
Goldberg has discussed her penchant for comfortable footwear. “For me, it’s all about, ‘Am I comfortable?’” she said in October 2023 at the Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars gala. “If I’m comfortable, then life is good. If I’m uncomfortable, your life’s going to be tough.”
The actress and “The View” cohost doesn’t exclusively wear outdoor and athletic shoes — just last month she attended the 2025 Met Gala wearing a Thom Browne ensemble including black and white patent leather longwing boots.
