Young Hollywood turned up the classic vibes at the Golden Globes, with chic, elegant hair and makeup that was equal parts modern and evocative of old-school movie star glamor. “We wanted to keep the makeup effortless,” said artist Loren Canby, working with L’Oréal Paris, of Cailie Spaeny’s flushed cheeks and stained lips. Likewise, makeup artist Erin Ayanian-Monroe for L’Oréal Paris, focused on luminous skin and a rosy lip for Elle Fanning. “I wanted to give her some classic glamour, but with an ease and freshness that echoed the lightness of the dress,” she said. Ayo Edebiri’s sleek hairstyle punctuated with a small flip, created by Miles Jeffries working with Maui Moisture, echoed the train on her Prada dress, Hailee Steinfeld turned up the glamour quotient with an tousled up-do that channeled classic Audrey Hepburn.
