Zendaya served up another fashionable look during her “Challengers” press tour. The actress joined costars Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor for a photo call in Rome on Monday, donning a tennis-inspired look.
Zendaya wore a custom shimmering Loewe dress evocative of tennis kits worn on the court. The black and silver sparkling minidress featured a pleated skirt and shimmering detail throughout. Zendaya also wore a pair of Loewe heels, which included tennis balls at the bottom half of the stiletto.
As for her accessories, Zendaya fashioned jewelry by Bulgari, for whom Zendaya has been an ambassador since February 2020. The actress’ ensemble was curated by stylist Law Roach.
Zendaya’s “Challengers” fashion has maintained a fairly consistent tennis-oriented theme. At the red carpet premiere of the film in Sydney on March 26, the actress wore a custom Loewe gown in glittering green, courtesy of the fashion house’s creative director Jonathan Anderson. The dress featured the shadow of a tennis player preparing to serve a tennis ball in mid-air. Anderson also served as the costume designer for “Challengers.”
More recently, Zendaya pivoted away from her tennis-inspired sartorial statements, opting for a more ethereal style. For the Paris premiere of “Challengers” on April 6, Zendaya wore a custom look from French fashion house Louis Vuitton, featuring a structured bodice designed with a sweetheart neckline and molded cups, a gathered chiffon skirt and completed with a lettuce hemline and a miniature train.
Zendaya has been a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton since April 2023. Throughout her “Challengers” press tour, Zendaya and Law Roach have approached her fashion selections with those aforementioned partnerships in mind. Her custom looks have, of course, also been in-line with her new film and taken a high-fashion approach to the world of tennis.
“Challengers” is directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Luca Guadagnino and stars Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor in a twisted love triangle against the backdrop of the competitive tennis world. The film hits theaters on April 26.
