The 67th annual Grammy Awards will soon be upon us — and so, too, will the striking makeup looks donned by its A-list attendees.
Last year, it was Miley Cyrus’ rocker-chic glam by makeup artist James Kaliardos that stole the show, developed using Pat McGrath Labs products to complement her custom Maison Martin Margiela gown made of gold safety pins.
Other memorable looks of late have included “Paint the Town Red” rapper Doja Cat’s 2021 all-black smoky eye, or when Ariana Grande in 2020 paired her icy-blond locks with a nude-toned makeup look, giving her then-signature cat-eye flick an elevated boost.

But the Grammy Awards have long seen their fair share of iconic looks — from Lil’ Kim’s many full-glam (and often, color-coordinated) appearances to mohawk-era Rihanna’s 2010 frosty eye shadow and lip gloss to boot.
This year, Trevor Noah will host the Grammy Awards, where nominees for Album of the Year include Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter,” Charli XCX’s summer anthem-filled “Brat,” Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” and more.
Pop newcomer Chappell Roan — known for her dramatic makeup flair — is nominated for seven awards, among them Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and more. SZA, meanwhile, nabbed two nominations for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance, as did Childish Gambino, for Best Progressive R&B Album and Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
