Lauren Sánchez Bezos is frost-ifying her makeup.
Three days post-Thanksgiving, the 55-year-old wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was photographed walking along the sidewalk by New York City’s Hudson Square with blush nipping at her nose and cheeks. The placement of the rosy hue appeared like a natural flush evoked by the freezing air hitting her skin, an aesthetic otherwise known as “cold girl makeup.”
Cold girl makeup is defined by a lack of warm tones and an overcorrection of blush. Rather than placing the product only on the high points of the face, bubblegum pink and ruby red blushes are layered across the nose, from one cheek to the other. The look is meant to mimic the aftermath of a frost bite to the face, comprised of a cool-toned and icy hue.

In New York, Sánchez Bezos’ lips were coated in a pale pink gloss; her base was bare, with no contour or bronzer. A subtle silver shimmer kissed the tops of her eyelids over long wispy lash extensions, while her dark eyebrows matched that of the moody hue in her hair. Her milky nude nails were clenched around the handle of her burgundy Bottega Veneta bag and into the sleeve of her double-breasted overcoat, which was embellished by rhinestone-studded buttons.
Sánchez Bezos’ makeup was likely the work of Laura Mele, the celebrity makeup artist on her close-knit glam squad. WWD has reached out to Mele for confirmation. Buster Knight, another artist on her team, confirmed he was unable to assist with this look.
For her hair, the former journalist often taps Los Angeles-based stylist Sophie Rose, whose star-studded client list includes actor Jon Lovitz and model Rochelle Aytes. In the summer, ahead of her highly anticipated wedding in Italy, Rose and Sánchez collaborated give her chocolate brown hair a sun-kissed aesthetic with caramel-colored ends, opposite to the inky coloring she donned in New York on Sunday. Here, her glossy hair was pulled in a claw clip; her front layers curling in and away from her face.
