NEW LAYOUT: Micam and Mipel, the footwear and leather goods trade shows, respectively, are collaborating strategically.
Together they unveiled the “Reinventing Mipel & Micam” project on Thursday in Milan’s Lombardini22 space, an engineering and design company based in Milan.
Giovanna Ceolini, president of Micam and Assocalzaturifici, and Claudia Sequi, president of Mipel and Assopellettieri, hosted the event.
The project aims to strengthen the synergy between the trade shows, which will both run from Feb. 22 to 24, to increase their international relevance and enhance the experience of exhibitors and visitors at the same time.

“Through the collaboration with Micam and the new layout created by Lombardini22, we want to further strengthen the value of our event, making it more visible, attractive and cutting-edge,” said Sequi. “It’s a strategic project that aims to put the excellence of our supply chains at the center and offer visitors and exhibitors an evolved and increasingly engaging experience.”
For the upcoming edition in February, Mipel will move to the front part of pavilion 5 at Rho-Fiera Milano, gaining greater visibility, centrality, and efficiency, according to organizers.
“The new configuration of the spaces is not just a functional choice, but a sign of contemporaneity: a look towards the future, capable of interpreting with clarity the needs of exhibitors and buyers,” said Ceolini. “Micam evolves, renews itself, and regenerates through listening and vision, introducing solutions that foster authentic connections and a more effective and inclusive exhibition experience.”
At the heart of pavilion 5, “M&M – The Hub” will take shape, a new space designed to host initiatives and projects developed by both fairs. It will also host the Micam Academy and the Mipel Factory, where companies and buyers can access networking, training, and discussion opportunities.
In the spotlight will be a selection of emerging Italian companies thanks to the Italian Startup project supported by ICE, the Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). A dedicated product space will offer an overview of the main trends for fall 2027.
Both shows are part of the Fashion Link Milano project, which also reunites concurrent trade shows such as Milano Fashion & Jewels, Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, and The One Milano, all happening during the same dates, providing buyers with a comprehensive view of fashion and accessories innovations at the same time and in a single location.
