Daisy Edgar-Jones tried out an edgy shoe style at the Krug and Max Richter “Every Note Counts” event in London on Tuesday with a spring 2026 Valentino sandal.
The “Twisters” actress modeled a heel style that hit the runway in the fall as part of Valentino’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. The heels had a corset-like design with lacing up a vertical strap, made all the edgier with silver eyelets; a slender bow sat just below the ankle strap. The silhouette also featured a thick, curved toe strap, which combined with the other elements made for a somewhat caged look with cutouts. Edgar-Jones wore a black patent leather version of the shoe, though it was shown on the runway in other hues including beige, yellow and pink.
Shoes with corset inspiration have been done by other brands like Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo. Ciara recently wore Louboutin’s Pavlova Booty Alta at Sports Illustrated’s Super Bowl.

Edgar-Jones’ shoes completed a full look from the spring 2026 collection by Alessandro Michele. The Estée Lauder ambassador wore a black suede pencil skirt with a sheer puffed-sleeve white blouse tucked into it, showing a lace bra beneath. A large orange flower at the collar added color to the look.
Joelle Diderich wrote of the collection in a review for WWD, “His spring collection harked back to another incredible time: founder Valentino Garavani’s hedonistic existence in Rome in the early ‘80s. Michele tried to distill the essence of that period with items like puff-sleeved blouses, jackets with bows and pencil skirts.”
