Doechii arrived at the 2026 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday in a pair of striking Louis Vuitton sandals from the 2000s.
Following her barefoot moment at the Met Gala, Doechii went in the opposite direction for the BET Awards with a maximalist shoe style from Louis Vuitton’s spring 2009 collection by Marc Jacobs, who was creative director of the label from 1997-2013. (A supporter of the brand, Doechii wore custom Marc Jacobs at the Met Gala.)
The spring 2009 Louis Vuitton collection featured a lineup of “spicy” heeled sandals featuring tribal faces. The shoes were designed with lots of straps, embellishment, a slight platform and stiletto heel. Doechii’s version included contrasting brown and gold reptilian-print material as well as beads, sequins and tassel adornment.
