Zendaya made an angelic appearance at the New York premiere of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” on Tuesday with a Matières Fécales couture look. Not to be left out of the drama, her shoes were a unique design from a collaboration between Matières Fécales and Christian Louboutin.
As Matières Fécales confirmed on social media, Zendaya wore the “latest Heeless design for MF x Christian Louboutin.” A twist on the traditional pointed-toe pump — Zendaya’s usual formal shoe — this shoe featured a wedge base with a concave outline as opposed to a vertical stiletto heel. The sculptural design was contrasted by more traditional design cues including a pointed toe and low-cut vamp.
Zendaya’s shoes seem to mark a continuation of the collaborative relationship between Matières Fécales and Christian Louboutin, which previously included exaggerated red-soled footwear featured in Matières Fécales’ fall 2025 ready-to-wear show presented in Paris last spring. The designs included pumps with convex heels or boots with the same dramatic rounded heel plus a sculptural platform.

The ethereal couture look worn by Zendaya was the “Ange” dress featured as the closer in Matières Fécales’ debut couture collection; Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach asked the brand to save the dress for her nearly two years ago. The look features a ruched strapless dress with a feathery trim, a dramatic asymmetric sweetheart hemline, a thigh slit and a long train. The showstopper was the set of feathered wings in back.
Another standout footwear moment from Zendaya’s “The Odyssey” press tour wardrobe was a pair of fall 2014 Sophia Webster gladiator sandals. See more shoe highlights from her and other cast members below.
