Scarlett Johansson opted for simplicity and a nod to her relationship with Prada at the 2026 New York Film Festival premiere of her new film “Paper Tiger” at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on Friday night.
The two-time Oscar-nominated actress turned to the Italian luxury fashion house for a business-style look that led with restraint. Johansson’s dress was crafted in an onyx gray, with a sleeveless silhouette and mini dress hemline.
The dress’ boat neckline created a slightly ruched element, given the streamlined style a touch of the viral office siren aesthetic that was popularized on TikTok in late 2024.

Johansson turned the 2026 NYFF premiere into date night with her husband of nearly six years Colin Jost. The “Saturday Night Live” star also went with a gray look, wearing a suit with faint lines and a checkered pattern paired with a pink shirt and burgundy tie.
As for accessories, Johansson wore delicate pieces of silver jewelry and statement earrings to complement her gray dress. She carried a Prada reedition 2005 Saffiano leather mini bag and capped off her look with a pair of strappy silver sandal heels.
Johansson developed her relationship with Prada over the last three years. In 2023, the actress was named an ambassador to the Italian luxury fashion house and has since worn gowns by the label at various red carpet events and film festivals.
In September 2025, Johansson collaborated with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos on a campaign for Prada’s Galleria bag. “This Prada campaign really comes from Yorgos’ unique mind and whatever magic is created between the two of us as artists. The performance — the collaboration — is opened up. This process of discovery is what makes any creative collaboration special,” Johansson told WWD at the time.
“Filmic shorts like this are a playful collaboration for actors and directors — it gives us an opportunity to work together in a different manner. You get to dip into somebody’s mind, their way of working, explore their world,” she said.
The 2026 edition of the New York Film Festival kicked off on Friday and concludes on Oct. 12. Films like “Paper Tiger,” “Behemoth!” and “Artificial” will premiere at New York City’s famed Lincoln Center.
