Worldly has launched its most expansive supplier compliance solution for environmental assessments, promising companies a simpler approach to proving that each of their facility is up to par.

This latest offering brings together three critical report tools in one assessment which will measure a facility’s environmental impact across key considerations such as energy and water while also tracking its reduction targets.

“In a market full of estimates and uncertainty, for a business to know its supply chain at the individual factory level is the most reliable way to manage risk, comply with regulation, and operate responsibly,” Worldly CEO Scott Raskin said in a statement on Thursday.

There are more than 45,000 manufacturing facilities that are on Worldly, and each one of them shares its environmental assessments with regulators and other brand partners.

Cascale, a global nonprofit alliance in consumer goods, introduced the Higg FEM to the industry 15 years ago as a spreadsheet. Over time, the spreadsheet got digitized and more efficient until it is what it is known now: an industry standard in measuring a facility’s environmental impact across energy, water, waste, and chemicals, and among others.

Worldly said that facilities that completed the Higg FEM in 2025 made measurable year-on-year progress, with 61 percent having had an energy improvement plan up from 54 percent, while 48 percent had set Scope 1 and 2 targets, which was up from 41 percent.

FEP sets out the baseline environmental practices expected of every facility producing consumer goods. For suppliers early in their sustainability journeys, it shows where they stand and what to address first.

Lastly, an FDM lets brands, manufacturers, and facilities track, analyze and report environmental metrics monthly or quarterly, rather than relying solely on annual reviews, Wordly said.

This comes at a time when brands, especially those that operate within the European Union, face increasing pressure to show credible proof that their operations meet stringent industry standards on environmental sustainability.

“New legislation and regulations are arriving quickly. Thanks to Higg FEM and Worldly, we are future ready,” said Alagesan Senniappan, executive vice president of quality assurance at Eastman Exports, a leading apparel manufacturer in India.

In many cases, brands pass down this pressure onto their suppliers, which have to make sure they can prove their operations are at par with sustainability standards or else risk losing clients.

It’s in this face of pressure that Wordly’s supplier compliance solution becomes especially useful. Instead of making a new assessment each time environmental metrics need to be shared with potential and existing business partners, brands and manufactures have a single compliance record.

For brands, the solution supports due diligence on existing suppliers, identifying non-compliance and tracking remediation against a Code of Conduct, Worldly said. It also helps teams see where climate risk could disrupt supply or drive-up prices, so they can act before it does.

For suppliers, it replaces a cycle of repeated, overlapping requests with one assessment that serves every customer, Wordly added.
