Barbara Palvin has been attending the Venice Film Festival since 2016, bringing statement-making looks to the Italian event from the premiere of “La La Land” in 2016 to “La Grazia” in 2026. The Armani Beauty ambassador has worn Armani for many of the festival’s red carpets, with several coming from Privé collections. While attention is typically geared toward her high-fashion dresses, these looks have been anchored by elegant formal footwear. FN takes a look at the model’s Venice Film Festival shoe style below, with styles ranging from affordable to luxury.
Palvin showcased a reasonably priced heel at the opening ceremony of the 82nd Venice Film Festival in 2025 with a Betsey Johnson style. She wore the black version of the embellished Nikki slingback pump, which features a modest stiletto heel, pointed toe and intricate bead embroidery across the mesh upper. The shoes, which have been recently modeled by other celebrities, were selected to complement a custom lacy black Intimissimi gown.

Palvin modeled a different black ensemble at the “Poor Things” premiere in 2023, pairing an asymmetric Giorgio Armani gown featuring a dramatic skirt slit with classic black patent leather pumps. This was another instance of Palvin modeling an affordable footwear style — she showcased Aldo Stessy 2.0 Pillow Walk stiletto pumps. With a quintessential construction, the style features a pointed toe, low vamp and straight heel.
Palvin went barefoot and carried the shoes, however, when arriving ahead of the carpet.
Back in 2016, Palvin modeled a white crocheted Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress featuring long sleeves, ruffle details and an embellished belt feature with a pair of black pumps. This pair looked like a style from Saint Laurent, with a dramatically tapered heel and thick velvety ankle straps.
