Camila Alves McConaughey brought a measured kind of shine to the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood on Saturday night, pairing an asymmetrical metallic gown with Aquazzura’s So Nude Sandal 105 in gold. The annual event, presented by Paul Mitchell and held at the Pacific Design Center, raised a record $18 million for Baby2Baby’s programs supporting children in poverty and honored Serena Williams with the Giving Tree Award.
The So Nude Sandal, one of Aquazzura’s most streamlined silhouettes, retails for $850 and features a single narrow front strap, an open toe and a slim 105-millimeter stiletto secured by a barely-there slingback. The gold leather finish gave the minimalist design a mirrored quality that complemented Matthew McConaughey’s wife’s liquid-metal dress without competing with it, thanks to its minimalist silhouette.

Her gown kept the theme going in molten gold, cut on one shoulder with pleats through the waist. The uneven hem made room for the Aquazzura heel, and a metallic clutch with stacked rings and gold and silver bracelets tied it together.
The appearance extends Alves McConaughey’s recent run of classic, high-gloss footwear moments. In September, she joined her husband in London for “The Lost Bus” screening in all-white Jimmy Choo pumps — a crisp, closed-toe counterpoint to this week’s open, metallic finish.
Aquazzura, meanwhile, has had a steady presence on that same circuit. Emma Stone wore the label’s Love Affair Mesh Pumps for “Good Morning America;” Suki Waterhouse followed suit in the same silhouette for “Die My Love;” and Taylor Swift kept her “showgirl” streak alive in metallic Ce Soir sandals. Alves McConaughey’s So Nude pair falls neatly in line — proof that even in full-metal glamour, minimalism with an edge is having a very good year.
